Nestled within the stunning Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in East Devon, our glamping site offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, with birdsong and the gentle sound of a flowing brook creating the perfect setting to unwind.
As an off-grid site, we recommend bringing wellies and suitable outdoor clothing for the ever-changing British weather. Please also note that the site is located beside the river, so children must be supervised at all times near the water.
While there is no Wi-Fi on site, mobile phone reception is generally available depending on your network provider. Charging points are provided for your convenience. Bedding and kitchen utensils are included, but guests should bring their own beach towels. A complimentary starter basket of logs and kindling is supplied on arrival, with additional supplies available to purchase if needed.
During your stay, you’ll have access to the site’s compost toilet, solar-powered shower, and communal kitchen facilities. Guests can also book time slots to enjoy the sauna or cold plunge bath.
Full of charm and character, Eleanor is a beautifully restored vintage horse box wagon that has been lovingly transformed into a cosy rustic retreat. Thoughtfully furnished with vintage treasures and handcrafted details, the interior offers a spacious sofa, a raised super king-size bed, and a log burner to keep evenings warm and relaxing. We provide all bedding and kitchen essentials to ensure a comfortable stay, and well-behaved dogs are warmly welcome to join you.
Eleanor also features her own private balcony overlooking our peaceful paddock, the River Otter, and the surrounding wildlife. It’s the perfect place to sit back with a glass of bubbly and soak up the tranquillity of the countryside.
Set within a stunning nature reserve, our peaceful glamping site is surrounded by lush landscapes and an abundance of local wildlife. Guests can enjoy plenty of shared outdoor space, whether that’s relaxing in a riverside hammock, toasting marshmallows around the fire pit, or taking a stroll to the nearby pub for a pint of local ale after a day exploring the nearby beaches and walking trails.
As a dog-friendly site, we welcome well-behaved dogs, although we kindly ask that they are kept under control and not allowed to roam freely due to the surrounding wildlife and nearby livestock.
Please note that Eleanor’s raised sleeping area may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility and has restricted headroom. As our glamping site is fully off-grid, we recommend bringing wellies and suitable outdoor clothing for the unpredictable British weather. The site is also located beside the river, so children should not be left unattended near the water.
